SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, AT 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
The Holidays can be difficult when one has suffered the loss of a loved one. There are special memories we all have at the end of the year: certain smells and tastes; sounds and sights; the touch of people we love and who love us – all these are woven into what make the holidays so meaningful. But when we lose a loved one to death, the holidays are changed.
On Sunday, October 22, at 1:30 p.m., Pastor David Skates will lead a 90 minute seminar entitled “Hope for the Holidays”. Based on his experience as a Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator with Art of Hospice Care of San Diego, as well as his own personal experience with loss, he will guide us toward not only “surviving” the holidays, but also building new meaning and memories into them. This free seminar is open to the public. If you know someone who might benefit from this seminar, invite them – and keep them in your prayers.
