Lighthouse family,

We pray you are staying safe and well during this time.  We praise God for His blessings even through our challenges, including last week’s offering which was over budget for the first time since public services had to be canceled, thank you, Lord!  It did not make up the $19,000 loss of the previous three weeks, so we’re hanging in there, but funds are tight meeting our obligations on time, so we really need your support.

Thank you to all who have been supporting us and to all who are now giving online, which has really grown.  Giving online is much safer and convenient for our finance team, and more convenient for those giving (automatic!).  Jan has made the process simpler on our website so if you haven’t tried it, or had trouble trying it before, please try again at under Donate, and if any problems, contact our church office.  We are grateful for every gift.

This is a special weekend where we normally all gather together for a Good Friday service, our annual community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, and big Easter Sunday services, so we encourage everyone to worship at home with our online messages through our website, YouTube, or our Facebook page for a special Good Friday service, and Easter services on Sunday, which we just finished recording today.  Many thanks to Lynda & Jan for their help making that available.

If you have young children, you should be able to get your own Easter egg hunt in at home on Saturday between the rains.  Consider also watching a good film this weekend like “Son of God“ or “The Passion of the Christ” on Netflix or Amazon Prime or another service.  One of our staff really likes a Bible series called “The Chosen” which is on a free app called VidAngel if you want to check that out.

We all sure appreciate Paula for updating this prayer chain so frequently with all of our church family’s praises and prayer requests, and for adding those encouraging verses – another blessing that keeps us connected to each other and to our Lord during these times.  We rejoice that Henry Buddenbohm, Sue Drager, and Tanya Prindle’s father Gene all went home this week; and our prayers & sympathies go out to Marilyn Avinion, whose husband Ray passed away, to Rachel Rivera on the passing of her mother, and to others who have lost loved ones during this time.  Some are waiting for the quarantine to pass to hold funerals.

There are signs that this pandemic is flattening and even starting to drop in places, so let’s continue praying for one another and for this to pass soon; to pray for our country and our leaders to make wise decisions; and to continue looking for ways that God can use us to be a blessing to others who need a helping hand or a word of encouragement.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support for us and our church family.

Let’s reflect on our Lord’s death & resurrection this weekend, Pastor Mike
