MESSAGE FROM PASTOR SCOTT

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to say hey and encourage you guys this afternoon.  I don’t know what you have been up to but I hope and pray that it is beneficial and uplifting for your soul.  Maybe you’ve gone on a walk twice a day for the past 3 weeks, maybe you’ve binge watched your favorite show, or made it through all the Star Wars episodes and have begun the Lord of the Rings, possibly you’ve even done a puzzle.

I pray that you’ve been able to settle into a rhythm of quality time with your Lord and Savior Jesus, and have had meaningful conversations with your families.  I am trusting that the Holy Spirit is working on your soul just like He has been working on mine.

If you haven’t yet, I’d like to suggest picking up a good book and settling into it.  God gave us imaginations and as we grow up we seldom use them. We have lost that whimsical way of looking at life, and books can bring us back there far better than a movie.  With movies all the hard work has been done for you, but when you immerse yourself in a good read it is mentally and emotionally rewarding.  You can read a novel, a biography, or even an intellectual/educational book and be fascinated by what you find inside.  I personally love reading biographies of men and women of the faith.  Stories of those who have stood firm in their convictions.  They remind me that the hope I have in Christ is unshakable, and that our God is faithful.  One book I just read which I would encourage you to pick up is “Evidence not Seen” by Darlene Deibler Rose.  I won’t spoil it for you.

I am praying for you guys and hope you’re doing well.  Please reach out if you need anything!

In His Grip,

Scott Hoerner
