Current Study:  The Book of Job

Job is possibly one of the oldest books in the world.  God saw fit to preserve this great book through the millennia so that we can, even today, ponder some of the great questions man has asked and, even today, be comforted, as Job ultimately was, in the sovereignty of the Lord God Almighty.  Job is not only a great spiritual book, it is also great literature.  It is a great drama played out on the stage of real life by “actors” who speak some of the most beautiful and grand lines to be found anywhere, in or outside of the Bible.

201 — Discovering Spiritual Maturity

Spiritual growth is not so much about “doing” as it is about “becoming” – becoming more like Christ. It’s a life-long adventure that takes patience, commitment, and intentional focus. It’s not what we do along the way that is most important. What really matters is who we are becoming in the process. Ultimately, the Christian life is about building an intimate relationship with Jesus as the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out, and loving others the way Jesus loves us.  We invite you to explore the various opportunities we offer to help you take your next steps of spiritual growth.

301 — Discovering My Ministry

When we become a Christian, God gives us salvation and the hope of eternity in Heaven. He also gives us purpose and significance in our lives. He has given each of us the opportunity to serve others and make a real difference in our community. When you serve others in Jesus’ name, you’re ministering.  God has shaped us with individual gifts and talents that are to be used to support the Body of Christ. Discover your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences in life that can be used by God to mold you for service.

401 — Discovering My Life Mission

You were made for a mission. God is at work in the world, and He wants you to join Him. God wants you to share His love where you are. As a student, mother, teacher, salesman, manager, or whatever you do, God wants you to reach out to the people in your life. That might mean inviting a friend to church or showing love to those in need around you.  God invites you to participate in the greatest, largest, most diverse, and most significant cause in history – His kingdom. The opportunities for normal, everyday Christians to become involved in short-term international missions are now limitless. Every corner of the world is available to you. You were saved to serve and made to go out and spread the Good News.
