The End of an Experiment?

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven . . . God’s purpose is that people should fear him.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 14b (NLT)

I started my online live sessions in 2020 as the pandemic was emerging and life was majorly disrupted, including our church gatherings.  What began as a desperate experiment to stay connected to our Lighthouse Worship Community blossomed into “Live with Basilio!” a weekly online session currently on Wednesdays at 4pm via Facebook Live.  The plan was to achieve three major goals: create a unique time of worship, be in community with others, and find ways to unleash compassion (serve others).  Tomorrow marks my 67th and final live session.  King Solomon wrote that there is a season for everything. Obviously, in all his wisdom and knowledge he had yet to invent a computer, a camera, and do online church sessions, but his writings pressed others to accomplish the same three major goals.  As we move out of this pandemic and things move back to “normal,” another season for a new online format will begin all with the same intention to continue serving the needs of our local church, global church, and the unchurched.  I will continue to help promote our online church presence, push people closer to Christ, and share the gospel and Biblical truth in fresh and relevant ways.  But I need your help.  I need your prayers and support.  I would appreciate your feedback about what you think would be beneficial for other believers and the unchurched.  Everything should point to Christ.  Let us build this together.  Send your ideas to

Let us continue partnering together as we transform Oceanside with the hope of Jesus Christ in 2022!  Join me for my last “LIVE WITH BASILIO!” session online on Wednesday, May 4, at 4pm via Facebook (
