Leader - Marlyn Wright

What in the world is God doing? It's easy to wonder this. We are living in an unfolding story, and it's hard to hold on when difficult circumstances linger, or your deepest prayer hangs in the air, seemingly unanswered. Thankfully the Bible is filled with people who experienced the same thing.  Mining often‑overlooked passages of Scripture, Laurie Short has unearthed practical, encouraging gems of wisdom to help you trust God when the way forward is unclear.

6:30 p.m. - Church, Sanctuary
Co-Leaders - Georgia Allen

Life often looks very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a moment, but others shatter us completely. At times like these, it's easy to feel disappointed and disillusioned and to wonder about the reality of God's goodness.  So what do you do when God's timing seems questionable, His lack of intervention hurtful, and His promises doubtful?  Author Lysa Terkeurst understands this deeply. But she's also discovered that our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God.

The letter to the believers in Colossae contains a message that's urgent today—a message of unity among the followers of Christ; a message of thanksgiving and spiritual fullness in a broken world; a message that shows us how to live as the people who are made alive in the one true Christ. Discussion topics will include what Christ has done for us; how to pray effectively, who Christ really is; how we are to grow in faith; warnings about deceptive theology; what sins Christ has forgiven us; avoiding legalism; how we are to live; God’s plan for the family and work; our conduct toward unbelievers; and affirming faithful believers.
Bring your Bible for this encouraging study in the book of Colossians.
