Purpose of Position:
To work with the Elder team to promote and administer Lighthouse Christian Church’s total program for qualitative and quantitative growth. The Minister will work closely with the Elder team, Staff, Deacons, ministry team leaders, and volunteers to achieve the results we desire in common.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and preach inspiring, biblically sound sermons weekly designed to help people grow in their Christian faith and practice, and coordinate the scheduling of others invited to fill the pulpit as appropriate.
• Supervise Staff, including recommending hiring, scheduling, assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommending compensation increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.
• Manage Deacons, Ministry team leaders, other volunteers, and their programs and budgets directly or through their appointed supervisors.
• Engage in pastoral functions such as but not limited to teaching, weddings, funerals, counseling, hospital calls, etc. Lead and equip others engaged in such pastoral duties.
• Lead church leaders in setting goals and planning strategies to accomplish the church’s mission: To know Christ and make him known, and in casting vision to accomplish those goals.
• Serve as an Elder of Lighthouse Christian Church and report monthly in writing to the Elder team.
